Mr. Samwel Omondi Ochieng serves as the chief strategist and visionary lead at ADS Nyanza. In his dual capacity as Executive Director and Secretary to the Board, he orchestrates the organization's regional expansion, governance frameworks, and high-impact program delivery. With a career spanning over two decades, Mr. Omondi has become a distinguished voice in community health and social empowerment across Kenya.
Academic Foundation
Mr. Omondi holds an MA in Community Health (GLUK) and a BA in Sociology (UoN), effectively bridging social science with strategic health management.
Thought Leadership
As a published researcher and lecturer, he drives national policy discussions on food security through rigorous evidence-based advocacy.
His leadership philosophy is rooted in a multi-sectoral approach. Having previously served as a Hospital Administrator, Gender Coordinator, and Program Manager, he possesses a rare 360-degree view of the development landscape. This allows him to lead interventions that are not only socially transformative but also financially sustainable and operationally resilient.
Beyond the executive suite, Mr. Omondi is a pillar of institutional governance. He influences the education and health sectors through his chairmanship of multiple School Boards and his active contributions to the Anglican Church of Kenya’s Social Services Board and the Kenya Community-Based Health Financing committee.
